In order to take your driving test you must be a competent and confident driver. The reason for this is once you have passed your test you will need to drive on your own independently. In order to drive on your own, you will need to show that you can drive at a high level, on all sorts of roads, in traffic and in different weather conditions. During your practical driving test a number of manoeuvres are asked of you and must be completed correctly without the help and guidance from your instructor or examiner. When you feel that you are confident enough and your instructor agrees, you can book your test.
